I recently attended my first Arizona Bloggers Meetup. One of my key takeaways from Alt Summit in June was making connections with fellow AZ bloggers. I was happy to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones at this event!
The event was hosted by Chrissy, Kayla, Camille and Deidre at The Shine Project studio (more on The Shine Project and their jewelry in another post soon). It was the perfect mix of mingling and informative sessions on photo styling, branding and collaborating with brands.
No offense to the other snacks, but the highlight was definitely the pain au chocolate from Proof. I started following Proof on Instagram a few days prior to the event. Sometime during the week, orders are taken via Instagram for pickup on Saturday morning in Mesa. Pretty genius way to use Instagram, right? I helped clean up and snuck a piece of the bread too. Delicious! If you are in the area or willing to take a drive on Saturday mornings, follow Proof and get your order in. I promise you won’t regret it. Yes, I realize this is the longest paragraph in this post. It was that good.
When we arrived, we were handed the cutest canvas bags from Lawless Denim filled with all sorts of goodies. The notebook from Tiny Prints immediately proved useful as I somehow forgot to bring one to take notes in. And I got another pair of the softest leggings ever from Agnes & Dora (read more about them here)! There were also great giveaways, but sadly it wasn’t my lucky day. There’s always next time, right?
The afternoon seemed to pass so quickly, but it was just the inspiration I needed. I’ve been in a bit of a blogging rut lately. There are days that I don’t want to get dressed up and take outfit photos. Or make a meal in less than the 3 hours it takes to shop, prep, style, cook and photograph it. Being around other bloggers for even a couple of hours reminded me why I started in the first place and the possibilities if you put in the hard work. I am already looking forward to the next event!

I love attending bloggers events, there’s nothing quite like being in a room full of like-minded people with similar dreams and aspirations. Also it’s so great to be able to talk about blogging without people rolling their eyes at you or asking how you make money out of it lol. So glad to hear you left feeling inspired too, I really enjoy your blog so I’d be really sad if you stopped writing it! xx
ps. I need those ‘pain au chocolat’ in my life!
So good to see you again! I love the energy we all radiate for each other at these events!
It was so nice to meet you! I can’t wait for the next meetup :)
It was great to meet you too Ashley! Let me know if you’re ever up for a visit to Chop Shop in Chandler!!
