How cute are these Banana Republic Jasmine sandals?! I saw them in the store and couldn’t pass them up. They also come in grey and navy, which are similarly gorgeous. I cannot wait to really wear them out on a hot date post-baby! The purple color reminds me of a pair of pumps I used to have and the bow detailing around the ankle is so fun. They are surprisingly comfortable for an almost 4″ heel with better than average cushion.

Speaking of a post-baby date, tomorrow our little girl arrives! My surgery is scheduled for 11:30. We have to be there 2 hours early, which I’m certain won’t be a problem. We’ll be so excited to get there! It will be hard for me to leave Lawson though. I’ve only been away from him for one night. I’m also worried about the adjustment when we get home with his little sister. While I’m recovering, I won’t be able to lift or hold him which will definitely be out of the norm. I got some great advice on my recent Instagram post about ways to give him lots of love in the meantime.

I’ve shared a little about my surgery fears before, but I’m definitely anxious. Last time I was exhausted and feeling ill by the time the decision was made to have a caesarean. I honestly didn’t give it a lot of thought. Now I’ve had months to prepare. As a natural worrier, I think about all the things that could go wrong. And I know how difficult the recovery is, which truly scares me the most. I’ve heard it’s much better the second time with a planned caesarean and I’m crossing my fingers I have a similar experience. All that truly matters is our baby girl is healthy and I don’t have any major complications.

I’m so excited to meet her, introduce her to her big brother and finally share her name with everyone!
