Welcome back to the work week, aren’t you excited to be here?! At least we’re united in our lack of love for Mondays. This dress is so versatile I’ve worn it to work and on the weekend, most recently on Saturday for a night of “sister-sitting.”
One of my favorite things about summer is that clothing options seem to get easier. You can throw on a dress with a pair of shoes, as little or as much jewelry as you’d like and be out the door fast. And a maxi dress is one of my go to choices (also mentioned here and here). They are generally less expensive than other dresses (I even found this one in the juniors department at Nordstrom) and so comfy! When I first tried on a maxi dress a couple of summers ago, I wasn’t sure I could pull it off without looking and feeling too hippy (and not in the bohemian way). I like this style with the drapey top to balance it out and pull the eye to the smaller part of my waist. If wearing to work, I add a scarf to keep warm in the A/C and cover up my shoulders a bit.
