Current Obsessions

There are certain items I reach for again and again, especially on weekends. I thought I’d put together a list of my current favorites to share with you all! As I was putting together this post, I realized how much I’ve worn these items the past few months. It just goes to show you should invest in basics to mix and match!

Boy Shirt – I’ll admit I wasn’t sold on this shirt when I purchased it, but it’s quickly become one of my favorites (seen here and here). I reach for it at least once a week. It’s perfect under a sweater, sweatshirt or on it’s own.

Statement Necklace – A good statement necklace has the ability to change the overall look of an outfit. My favorites are from J. Crew, BaubleBar and Forever 21. They don’t have to be expensive!

Coated Denim – I’ve been lusting over photos of leather pants in magazines and on Pinterest, but couldn’t part with the money they cost. Coated denim is a much more realistic alternative for me. They look very similar to leather, especially from a distance. And I felt much better about investing in them than a pair of leather pants.

Black Booties – Black booties have been my go-to this winter when I want to elevate my look (seen herehere, here and here). They’re perfect for work or a weekend date night and can be worn with jeans, skirt or dress.

Leopard Flats – I used to wear heels every day, but am so glad flats are fashionable! Along with a statement necklace, leopard flats can transform an outfit. I wear mine as an accent to other colors (seen here) or as a statement with my favorite black, white and grey. I especially like a slightly pointed toe; it just feels a little more stylish than a regular ballet flat.

Distressed Denim – My pair of distressed denim jeans make an appearance at least once each weekend (seen here, here and here). Maybe it’s because I don’t wear them to work, but I love to pair them with a tee and leopard flats for a lunch date with girlfriends or heels for a night out.

Sweater – I usually shy away from wool sweaters because they can be itchy and uncomfortable. This sweater doesn’t itch at all. It’s versatile and comes in many colors. I like it so much I already own it in four colors (seen here and here)! Because J. Crew frequently comes out with new colors, you can find it on sale (hold out for an additional sale promo code too!).

Leopard Clutch – Leopard really is a neutral! I love this clutch so much that I leave it on my dresser so I see it each day. There’s something about a clutch that makes me feel a little more grown up. And a leopard version spices up any outfit (seen here, here, here and here).
