Holiday Gift Guide for the Guys

Do you have difficulty shopping for the husbands, boyfriends, brothers and fathers in your life? Especially if they don’t give any hints (or in the case of my father, makes a list but has been known to buy them for himself). I’m here to help with some of my favorite brands and ideas for men. Without further ado…

one: the J Crew Weekender ($198) is great for weekend getaways when you don’t need a suitcase. It’s rugged and stylish at the same time.

two: the Nike Lunarglide ($110) sneakers are made for running, but can double for everyday as a more comfortable alternative to dress shoes.

three: J Crew Shoe Horn ($28) may seem like a luxury that no one would ever need, but I promise it helps when you’re rushing out the door to work.

four: Bonobos Friday Light Greys ($98) are so cleverly named! Bonobos is strictly an online shop (unless you live in LA or NYC), but purchases and returns are super easy.

five: the Banana Republic Tailored Slim Fit ($80) shirts are the best! Banana Republic has three shirt size options (classic, slim and tailored slim) so you can find one for every guy on your list. Great patterns and colors, great quality, and a great price (especially when BR has a 40% off sale, be sure to check out Cyber Monday).

six: Shinola Leather Strap watch ($550) is a new to me brand that Nordstrom carries. The watches are made in Detroit from Swiss parts. I love the style of this brand and that they are made in Detroit.

seven: Winter shoe options for men have become more numerous over the past few years and the desert boot is one of them. Clark’s Originals Desert Boot ($120) are classic and can be worn for years.

eight: Add a little fun to what can be a boring clothing item with the Mack Weldon “Blues” socks ($42). If your guy pays attention to the details in his outfit, or you’d just like to see him add a little spunk to his day, these socks are the gift for you. Online only (must be a trend in men’s clothing), but easy purchases and returns.

nine: Dolce & Gabbana The One cologne ($99) is described as “both classic and modern, vibrant and engaging.” Cologne is always a great gift idea for guys.

ten: For the techie guys on your list, Google Chromecast ($35) is the newest must-have gadget. Plug it into any HDTV and you can stream your favorite shows from your phone, laptop or tablet.
