An all black outfit is an instant classic. I added a pop of pattern and color with leopard mules, my go to red nail polish (No. 36) and everyday tote.
If you read my Week in Outfit posts, you’ll notice I don’t wear black jeans very often. I love the look of them and own 3 pairs, but none of them are a perfect fit (one pair is listed for sale on Poshmark). Don’t cry for me, this story has a happy ending.
I had every intention of waiting to see if one of my already owned pairs would fit better as I get more into working out, but then I came across a Madewell pair. I actually tried them on in store with two little munchkins sticking their heads out of the curtain. I wanted to try another size, but they didn’t seem to have it in stock and I couldn’t take the time to ask.
I headed home and looked online to find they were on sale + an additional 20% off. I read a ton of reviews and ordered a size smaller than I had tried on in the store. Once they were delivered, I quickly deemed them the most comfortable jeans I own.
I still love my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop jeans, but I’m between two sizes right now. One pair is too tight and the other is too loose. So for now the Madewell 9″ Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans are my go to. My only critique is they are too long for me. Since they have a raw hem, it’s an easy fix to cut them off to the length I want.
I’ve worn them 4x in the past week and am a big fan. You’ll see them a lot in my weekly outfit recaps!
