Recent Beauty Buys

I am most certainly not a beauty expert. I’ve never been great at applying makeup and tend to believe less is more, particularly as I get older. That said, I have purchased a few new beauty products recently. Some I’ve been using for a couple of weeks and others have been a bit longer.

Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick, $68

I haven’t used a true foundation in years because I felt like it made me look old(er). After reading reviews of the Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation Stick, I decided to try it. I really, really like it. It provides coverage and evens out my skin without feeling like too much. (Reviews say to make sure your skin is hydrated.) Also available at Sephora.

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick, $48

I had been using the same blush since we lived in California 3+ years ago so decided to add this one by Westman Atelier to my recent order. I have it in Petal and am impressed with the color. It looks very natural, but you can layer it up too.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, $36

This is the best body lotion I’ve found. It hydrates without feeling too thick. Since I started using it again this winter, I’ve repurchased twice.

Supergoop Sheer Screen, $38

I use this SPF as a base layer on the days I wear the Westman Atelier Vital Skin Foundation. It is a mineral sunscreen, but doesn’t leave a white residue at all.

Artis Oval 6 Brush, $60

After seeing Artis brushes on Instagram from almost every influencer over the past year, I was intrigued enough to give it a shot. While I don’t know if it’s life changing, it is really good and has been my go to for applying foundation and blush.
