It happens every year around this time. I do really well sticking to my budget the first couple of months of the year. And then spring rolls around and I want new shoes, skirts, dresses and shirts. Really, I want new everything! I’ll admit to picking up a few items already and I put together this list of items I’m craving right now.
I really want to give one of the pleated maxi skirts a try. I’m a little worried how it would look on me since I’m pretty short, but it might look great with a pair of heels. This option from J. Crew Factory is the right price for a current trend.
Even though I normally wear flats, I love a good pair of heels to make me feel my best. I already have a black pair of cutout booties (seen here and here), but I’d love to get a brown pair for the spring. I’ve got my eye on these and these as options.
With the first sunshine and warm days of the year, I am immediately drawn to new dresses for spring and summer. Banana Republic has some great options right now. This bright pink dress screams summer date night or wedding. I’ve been on the hunt for a white dress to replace one I finally retired a couple of summers ago. This version arrived on my doorstep earlier this week and I’d give it 5 stars! I’ve also been known to raid the Juniors section at Nordstrom for bargains. This maxi dress is a steal at a sale price of less than $40 and comes in a variety of colors/patterns.
My weekend uniform usually consists of a tee and jeans or shorts. There are so many graphic tee options out there, but I’m a little particular about those catching my eye. I gravitate to those with french or italian phrases to keep it age appropriate. This version is subtle while this muscle tee could trigger a debate about which coast is better.
It’s fun to window shop sometimes! Is there anything on your wish list for spring?
The heels are really nice and they’d look great with a maxi pleat skirt. I live in Australia where it’s currently Autumn but I still dream about pretty spring outfits!
Thanks Pearl! What trends are you loving for autumn in Australia? I’ve never been, but I hope to visit someday!
