The Year in Review

As we close out 2013 and head into a new year, I wanted to take a look back at the past year and reflect on how fortunate I am.  It’s been a pretty good year.  I am healthy, happy and surrounded by great family and friends.

Travel

I love to travel and experience new places and cultures. The highlight of my travels in 2013 was spending 10 days in Switzerland starting in Geneva and driving through the country. I’ve never seen more waterfalls, green trees and grass and cows! I also spent long weekends camping in Sedona, biking in Southern California and wine tasting in Napa.

2013 Fitness

If you’ve followed along on Luv in the Bubble, you know I’m training for my first full marathon. It’s pretty much consumed my spare time beginning in September. I’ve ran farther than I ever thought was possible and am so proud of my strength and determination to complete all but 2 of my training runs. I also completed Ragnar del Sol in February and Ragnar Great River in August.  Both of those teams included family and friends and were so much fun.

2013-Blog-Collage

One of my favorite things that I did this year was launch Luv in the Bubble.  I had considered starting a blog for at least a year and finally taking the leap of faith to go for it is something I’m very proud to have done.  I enjoy challenging myself to come up with new topics to inspire others. And being mentioned on West Elm’s blog, Front & Main is icing on the cake (twice! see it here and here)!

Thank you to all of you that take time out of your busy lives to share my little space on the big web. I truly appreciate each view, comment and words of advice and encouragement. I couldn’t do it without you. So thank you!!
