Happy first Monday in June! I disappeared from this blog for the past two weeks. No really exciting reason, just spending time with family and relaxing. Since it’s been awhile, I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to.
After our month in Minnesota, we got back to LA two weeks ago. Then we promptly packed up the car and drove to Arizona for Memorial Day weekend. We all had a blast with Jim’s family. The 6-hour drive turned into 8+ hours on the way back. We were stir crazy by the time we got back, but it was well worth it! I even snuck in a girlfriend lunch at one of my favorite spots in Phoenix.
It’s taken five weeks of consistently working out five days a week, but I enjoy it again! It’s one of the best feelings in the world for me. I do the BBG resistance workouts three days and run 3 miles two other days. I have fallen in love with running again. I don’t go far or fast, but I truly love it. Ragnar Relay anyone??
Although the author recommends against broadcasting it on Facebook, we’re potty training Lawson starting today. Send me all the extra patience vibes and a virtual glass of wine.
Peonies are here! There’s something about fresh flowers that puts a smile on my face. It’s even better when you find your favorite flower at Trader Joe’s on a random Wednesday morning.
We have six weekends left in LA before Jim graduates. We’re spending a week with his family on the east coast in late July and then heading to Denver. Yep, that’s my not so subtle way of slipping in that we’re moving to Denver! I’ve started purging and selling (again). I’m really excited for this next adventure.
HIGH POINT:
I feel like we’re in a really good place as a family of four. Lawson and Sybil are more fun than ever (they both talk so.much!), Jim and I have been able to spend more quality time together and I got to sleep in yesterday morning. Summer is here and life is good.
LOW POINT:
After over a month of easy bedtime routines, Sybil has fallen into a rut and needs extra help to fall asleep the past week. Fingers crossed she’s teething (cue the 2 year molars) and it passes quickly.
FIND OF THE WEEK:
I’ve talked about them before, but these jeans are the only pair I’ve worn since I got them. I’d happily sell every other pair I own and buy the same version in black and white.
