Weekend Roundup: No. 282

Studio McGee Target Nightstand

How was your first day of fall? It was 85 and sunny here, which is a welcome relief after that very early snow a few weeks ago. I’ll take the sunshine as long as I can.

I am very happy that this week was better than the last. I was more prepared for our school days and created a schedule for Sybil during Lawson’s classes. One blessing of at home learning is I’ve been able to see firsthand how much Lawson has learned in three weeks. It isn’t easy, but I cherish this time.

When I saw this blog post about the best frozen pain au chocolate, I immediately thought of my dad. He LOVES chocolate croissants. I’d venture to say Lawson loves them almost as much as he does.

The past month I’ve only been running 1-2 times a week, compared to 4-5 earlier in the summer. My entire mood shifts when I don’t run as often. Running centers me and makes me feel physically stronger. I haven’t found my groove yet, but I’m making an effort to get out more.

Every year I stock up on the Sugar Paper for Target holiday collection. The wrapping paper is beautiful and most can be used year round.

I am 2.5 weeks into Whole30. I’d give myself an A so far – I’ve stuck to it 95% of the time. I feel much better, although I haven’t lost more than a pound. The weight loss is definitely less than when I’ve done Whole30 in the past, but I’m trying not to get hung up on it.

We have our family photos tonight (!!!) and Lawson has his golf lesson tomorrow. Other than spending lots of time outside, we are free of plans.

HIGH POINT:

Laying in bed with Lawson doing math and practicing his sounds.

LOW POINT:

I’m happy to report no low points stand out this week!
