What I’m Packing for Alt Summit

what to pack for a conference

Today I’m heading to Palm Springs for Alt Summit, a conference for creative entrepreneurs and social media influencers. It’s my second trip to Alt Summit. I’ve wanted to return since my first visit in June 2014 and it’s even on my 101 in 1001 list.

One of my favorite parts of Alt Summit is creating my packing list. This conference is unique because basically anything goes (within reason of course). My outfit goals are simple. Comfort is my first priority, which means flats for day and heels for night. I stay true to my “classic meets bohemian with a pop of east coast prep” style. You’ll find me in tees, sweaters and jeans paired with boots and sneakers.

The opening night party calls for cocktail attire. I’m excited for the opportunity to dress up more than my normal mom uniform!

I’ll be taking photos of and sharing my outfits over the next few weeks, but you’ll definitely find me in this one during the day! I like mixing small businesses (madre tee) with trusted brands I have worn for years (J. Crew wool cardigan). And of course my Stan Smith sneakers to stay comfortable throughout the day.

P.S. Wish me luck on this trip. Since I’m still nursing Sybil, I’m bringing the kiddos and my parents are coming along to watch them during the conference. It will definitely be an experience!
