These are a few of my favorite things that I wear or use many times over. I’ve also gifted them quite a few times! Items with an asterisk are small, female owned businesses.
Dudley Stephens Fleece*: I am working on a full guide and review for Dudley Stephens fleece turtlenecks. The short story is I wear the Park Slope in my normal size (consider getting the Greenpoint if you are taller than 5’4”). I prefer the lighter weight Terry fleece.
ChappyWrap Blanket*: We own two of these blankets and have gifted them a few times as well. Jim and I each reach for them every night after the kids are in bed. I love that they are soft, hold up well, and don’t take up a lot of space. They fold/roll up really well!
One/Third Jacket*: It’s hard to pick a favorite. For fall and winter, jacket 11 is a great option and jacket 01 is a classic I reach for again and again. I wear my normal size in all their jackets.
New Balance Sneakers: The most comfortable of my sneakers. I’ve worn them to walk miles without any issues. The thicker tread is on trend and they come in several colors. Make sure to note any sizing – mine are actually a men’s style that noted to size down 1.5 sizes, which fit perfectly.
Madewell Zip Top Transport Tote: I can’t have a favorite things list without my to go tote. I’ve used it for more than 2.5 years and am so passionate about it, I wrote an entire post dedicated to my favorite tote. (I switched the strap for a green and red striped Parker Thatch.)
Sheena Marshall Bexley Necklace*: The most recent addition to my jewelry collection is this pendant. I think I’ve worn it every day since I got it last month! It’s an easy piece to add that changes the look of an outfit. It’s great with neutral tee shirts/turtlenecks and over sweaters.
Thursday Duchess Chelsea Boots: I traded a pair of uncomfortable Chelsea boots for these from a new to me brand. I absolutely love them. The boots were comfortable right out of the box. I can wear them for hours without any issues.
Vuori Joggers: Ahh, I’m wearing a pair as I write this gift guide. These are truly the most comfortable joggers I’ve ever worn. They are versatile enough to wear for yoga, running errands or as pajama pants. I love them so much I’ve gifted them 3x. Sign up for their emails and get 20% off your first order.
Vuori Fleece Jacket: Another Vuori product that I own and love. This fleece jacket is so cozy that I reach for it most days. I feel equally as comfortable wearing it as an extra layer when our house is chilly as I do ford running errands.
Maya Brenner Necklace*: The everyday necklace with Lawson and Sybil’s initials that I’ve taken off 5x in the past 5+ years. It’s a way for me to hold them close to me day and night and my most cherished piece of jewelry.
AYR The Zip*: One of my favorite pieces I purchased this fall, this zip up works on its own or layered over a button up (to dress it up) or turtleneck (for extra warmth). At 5’3” it does not fit cropped on me, but it might if you’re taller. Otherwise it fits true to size.
Stocking Stuffers
Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Lip Balm*: When we were in Aspen last weekend, I went into a beauty store and saw the Westman Atelier lip balm that I’d wanted to try. I bought the Nou Nou shade and really like the way it looks layered over Kari Gran Lip Whip in Radiant. It isn’t sticky the way some lip glosses can be. It would make a great stocking stuffer!
Sunday Candle Co*: I’ve gifted this candle several times and every single time the recipient asks me about the brand. I’ve tried at least 10 scents and have liked them all. If I had to pick favorites I’d choose El Sol, Harvest and Roasted Chestnuts.
Bombas Fair Isle Socks: After some trial and error, I’ve discovered I don’t like wool socks. These cotton fair isle are the next best thing for keeping my toes toasty in the winter. I like the patterns, especially when you can see them peaking out between my shoes/boots and jeans!
Brightland Olive Oil*: Never did I ever think I’d have a favorite olive oil, but here we are. Brightland just tastes better (I’ve bought the Alive and Awake). I “save” it for salads (I prefer a simple salad dressing of olive, salt and pepper), to drizzle on hard boiled eggs or avocado, and to dip fresh bread in. I’d love to try their speciality olive oils infused with garlic or lemon. Or the newly launched honey. Yum!
Harney & Sons Herbal Peppermint Tea: While I have several Harney & Sons tea favorites, the herbal peppermint is what I reach for most often in the evenings (but would be great any time of day). It’s perfectly pepperminty! They also have small tins of some of their holiday teas that make great stocking stuffers!
Wooden Bookmark: This bookmark comes in a ton of different options. I got mine as a gift, bought another for myself this year, and am giving them as gifts along with a book to several people this holiday season.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: My absolute favorite lotion in the winter. It moisturizes without being too heavy. I buy the biggest container possible!
Splurge
David Yurman Bracelet: For a more splurge worthy gift, I wear my David Yurman bracelets almost daily. I think they go really well with any watch or other jewelry.
Clare V Midi Sac*: This is a great smaller size bag that still holds all of my essentials (phone, card case, sunglasses, lip gloss, keys). I love the pop of color and texture it brings to an outfit. I wear it with a black and white striped strap.
I’m working on a gift guide of my own personal wish list. Hopefully that will be ready later this week!
