I almost typed happy Thursday before realizing it’s only Wednesday. Uh oh, does that mean this has been a long one already?!
I’ll be honest, I don’t have a lot of experience mixing patterns. When we were headed to Napa for Thanksgiving, I knew I wanted to wear this plaid shirt but that I’d also need other layers since it was cool, okay cold, there. Enter my favorite grey plaid scarf from last year (also seen here). I actually love how they look together! The red and blue shades are consistent throughout the shirt and scarf, which seems to make it work. Who knows, maybe I’ll get really adventurous and mix stripes and florals next! Oh who am I kidding, I don’t even own anything floral. :)
Unfortunately this exact shirt is only left in petite and tall, but I’ve linked several other plaid shirts from J Crew that I love below. The best part is they are all on sale!
On another note, one of my goals for this year was to hire a photographer for my outfit photos. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I LOVE how they’ve turned out and can’t wait to share more with you! Not only does Cacie have a great eye, but she’s the sweetest and made me feel so at ease. Plus when I learned she’s originally from Minnesota, I knew I’d love her!
