Happy Friday! We had the most beautiful sunshine this week. It was just what we all needed. I was reminded of spring and summer days spent outside playing, eating and just being together without trying to bribe a child to do school.
It wasn’t actually warm enough to wear a dress and sandals this week. But, it’s coming, I can feel it! 🌸
Construction on our basement starts today. We had some pre-construction activity this week. Lawson and Sybil absolutely love it. They asked the window installer approximately 2500 questions. He was very patient!
Last night we had a surprise sleepover with our neighbor who is exactly one year younger than Sybil. Their family welcomed a new baby a little earlier than planned so she stayed with us until her grandparents could get here. Lawson, Sybil and their friend all had a blast! Sybil gave up her bed, but insisted on sleeping on the floor so they could all be together.
After a dip yesterday, the spring temperatures should continue this weekend. We don’t have plans other than a few chores around the house. I plan to run every day – it’s the best time of year!
HIGH POINT
The sunshine and time spent outside.
LOW POINT
Lawson is going through a growth / developmental phase (at least that’s my best guess). He is restless and thoughtful and tired and defiant and sweet. All at the same time. Is 6 going on 16 a thing??
