The Friday of a long weekend always feels extra fun, right??! I gave myself an at home manicure with my go to summer red so I’m basically ready for the 4th of July. 🇺🇸
Lawson started tennis this week. He can’t quite transition to holding the racket with one hand. He wants to hold it with two hands like a golf club! A girl from the art class is also in tennis with him and they became fast friends. By day two of tennis, they were holding hands walking off the court and inseparable. Lawson is so social and will love the interaction at school this fall.
Yesterday we went mini-golfing. They were looking forward to it for two weeks – we made it to #6 before Sybil had to pee. And 3 more holes until we called it a day. There was a big volcano that went off every 10 minutes or whenever someone got a hole in one on #18. It was loud and hot. I can’t blame them, I didn’t like it either.
Today we’re off to the Children’s Museum. Lawson has been waiting for over a year to go to the Adventure Forest exhibit. On our last pre-pandemic visit, he wasn’t quite tall or old enough to go and then it was closed for over a year. I haven’t told him it’s open again just in case something happens and he doesn’t get to go on it.
One sure way to tell it’s a holiday weekend – sales! My top sales to check out include One/Third, M. Gemi, Dudley Stephens (20% off everything with code STARSPANGLED) and J. Crew.
We plan to catch our town fireworks on Sunday night and I’m sure we’ll have some red, white and blue to celebrate the holiday weekend.
