Before we get into this off the shoulder swimsuit…I always have so much I want to include in my weekend roundup posts and then when I actually go to write them, I forget half of it. So I’ve been making notes and am including it all in one big life lately post. Get ready for a bunch of randomness…
We’ve been in LA for almost a month. I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I like it here. We walk everywhere. I haven’t driven in over 10 days.
After Sybil used my iPhone as a teether, the home button and Touch ID shorted out. I have been anxiously awaiting the new iPhone announcement and placed an order for the 8 Plus last week. I’m so excited for the camera. I pick it up on Friday afternoon!
The improved iPhone camera comes at the perfect time. My girlfriend and I are going on an “Instagram” tour of LA on Saturday. Post-tour, you can find me lounging by the pool wearing this off the shoulder swimsuit, which is currently on major sale (also comes in red and black). I typically shy away from strapless suits, but this one has surprisingly good support.
I quit my job to figure out what I wanted to do next over 3 years ago. And then I got pregnant and had Lawson. And then I got pregnant again and had Sybil. Lately I’ve been thinking about working part-time, preferably from home. I think it would be good for Lawson and Sybil to have someone else care for them a few hours a day. I miss using my brain in a different way and could honestly use a break from them. Not to mention living in LA without any income for a year. More to come on this one…and if you know of anyone looking for an accounting or project management help 20 hours a week, let me know.
I’ve struggled to get into a consistent running routine. Instead of beating myself up about it, I’m giving myself some grace. Until Sybil starts sleeping through the night consistently, I’m just not willing to give up even more sleep to run before Jim goes to school.
Does anyone else feel like they spend a ton of $$$ on groceries? Grocery shopping has gotten to be one of my biggest stressors. Feeding a family of four is expensive! If you have any tips on how to buy organic, healthy foods by spending less, please send them my way.
Lastly, Anthropologie’s jean sales are a well kept secret. They carry some of my favorite brands and the markdowns can be really good. Sizes can sell out quickly, especially when they have an additional promo. I bought these last week when they were an additional 25% off and have already worn them 3x.
