This week has been a doozy, which is my full responsibility. I’m in that PMS phase + cranky + hot + not sleeping well. All excuses though because I could have put in the effort to make it a better week. Onward and upward!
Tomorrow will mark two weeks into Sybil’s potty training. She’s doing great. I have to remind myself that an accident here and there is normal. This week she made a huge step by consistently peeing in a public restroom (although that was not the case early in the week when she wouldn’t pee at the library but did as soon as we got in the car). I use this seat cover for both kiddos when we’re out and about.
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale opens to all today. I shared my sell out predications in this post and was right on with a few of them. There seem to be more sellouts than usual this year. I placed an order for a pair of jeans last Friday and the order was cancelled within hours.
I did have luck with the basics I wanted to replenish. I picked up my go to bra, underwear and a tank to wear under eyelet tops this fall/winter. And that’s it!
Tomorrow I’ll be up bright and early for a quick trip to Arizona. I am looking forward to 24 hours of girl time, traveling light and a chocolate chip cookie from Chestnut. It’s the little things in life!
HIGH POINT:
Sybil woke up before Lawson one morning. When he came downstairs and she saw him, she ran and threw her arms around his neck in a big hug.
LOW POINT:
Our neighbors moved last weekend. Their son was Lawson’s first non-family friend. The neighborhood is a little lonelier without them.
FIND OF THE WEEK:
Nothing to report this week!
WHAT I’M READING:
I finished The Favorite Daughter last weekend. I really liked it and would definitely recommend it. I picked up Park Avenue Summer at the library yesterday and have a week to read it before we head to Minnesota.
