beauty products for lips, face and skin

I’ve tried a couple of new beauty products recently and also restocked some old favorites. As much as I try to restrain myself, I’m always looking for new products to test.

I’ve written about L’Occitane body cream in the past and it’s still my go to. When the weather turns and my skin dries out, this stuff is the best at keeping it soft and itch-free.

One of the joys of getting older is the brown spots that have sprouted on my face. I’ve tried different serums, but didn’t think any of them really did the trick. A friend told me about Candid Essentials Vitamin C serum. Based on the reviews and reasonable price ($23 on Amazon), I was willing to give it a try. The combination of serum and daily sunscreen seems to be helping a bit.

After a few months of clear skin (I knew it was too good to be true), I started experiencing breakouts on my chin. After reading about Burt’s Bees Spot Treatment from Victoria, I started using it two weeks ago. I want to use it for a couple of months before giving it a 5 star rating, but so far, so good. I apply it at night on any trouble spots and it’s stopped them from becoming a full blown breakout.

NARS Orgasm blush has been one of my go to makeup products for awhile. There’s a reason it’s consistently ranked by beauty editors. It looks good on all different skin types and provides the right amount of shimmer and color.

I had been looking for a lip gloss that wasn’t as sticky as all the ones in my bag. After reading some reviews and an in store experiment, I found Bobbi Brown’s lip gloss. True to the reviews, it is the least sticky gloss that I’ve tried. The colors are natural looking and have some staying power.

I’m always looking for new products to try. So do share…what are your favorite beauty products?
