When Lawson was born, I tried to limit dairy for the first month since I had read a lot of babies are sensitive to dairy. Come to find out, Lawson can eat pretty much anything.
With Sybil, I started out the same by limiting dairy. I cut out milk, butter, yogurt and cheese. We quickly discovered Sybil had a more sensitive stomach. She struggled with painful reflux and gas and still does at seven months old. I never imagined I’d be limiting dairy for so long. (I say limiting rather than eliminating since dairy is in so many items. I try my best not to cook with dairy but realize there’s likely some in items I eat when out.)
I’ve found a few go to dairy free meals that have become mainstays in our weekly rotation. Here are my favorites:
Crockpot Italian Turkey Meatballs (served with spaghetti squash)
Rosemary Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Salad
Chinese Green Beans with Turkey
Slow Cooker Chicken Burrito Bowls
Slow Cooker Chicken (served with roasted carrots, broccoli and potatoes)
What’s your favorite dairy-free recipe? I’m always looking for something new!
