And just like that, we’re back to sweater weather. I have a feeling I’m going to need to keep my sweaters close year round here in Colorado. Good thing this Everlane sweater is a go to. I have it in 3 colors!
I wore this exact outfit again yesterday except I switched the black jeans for my new Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop jeans. I bought my first pair almost exactly a year ago. I wore them so much (probably 250 times) that I distressed my own jeans and ended up with a hole in the knee. And the crotch is an embarrassing hole waiting to happen.
I reordered them last month and found my “normal” size to be extremely uncomfortable. I’ve gained 5 pounds since December due to a combination of diet and exercise. I haven’t been as strict with following a Whole30 diet and I really let the winter months get to me with long periods of inactivity. Honestly, some days I’d only have 2,000 steps.
Rather than wait to lose those 5 pounds, I bought the next size up. I put them on and wondered how I ever fit into the smaller size! They are so comfortable. I’ve always been a big denim fan, but recently I couldn’t wait to get my jeans off at the end of the day. Turns out, all I needed was to accept the next size up.
Do I still hope to lose those 5 pounds? Definitely. But I’m so much more comfortable in the meantime. I think I wanted to hold on to a specific size, but really what does it matter??
