Gift Wrapping Party

girlfriends and holiday gift wrapping

The holidays are full of parties, family and friends, but can also be crazy and stressful. An afternoon with your best girlfriends to chat while wrapping gifts is just what the doctor ordered. I found the best invitations from Shutterfly; the black, white and gold on the Glowing Trees were exactly the scene I wanted to create, along with seasonal red accents.

To keep the menu simple (and my own stress level down), I stuck with a few sweet treats mixing homemade with store bought items. These peppermint brownie bites and soft maple cinnamon sugar cookies didn’t take too much time and tasted delicious! This holiday season I’ve been consuming large amounts of mint M&Ms and Angie’s Seasonal Popcorn (specifically the white chocolate peppermint and dark chocolate sea salt). They paired perfectly with the brownie bites and sugar cookies and didn’t take any effort other than a trip to the store!

I love flavored water and wanted a mix that reminded me of the holidays. Apples, cranberries and rosemary were an excellent mix of classic holiday colors!

I loaded up on plenty of wrapping and tissue paper, boxes, bows and ribbon from Target and the dollar store, along with the necessary wrapping supplies. I’m happy to report all of our gifts are now wrapped. I can’t wait to do it again next year!

    • A friend of mine in Maine started having an annual gift wrapping party a couple of years ago. I thought it was such a fun idea that I wanted to do it too! A slightly different take on a holiday party. :)
