Maui

Sunset and a Baby Bump at the Grand Wailea

We spent the first 5 days of our trip at the Sheraton Maui, which is located in Lahaina. We had an amazing view from our room. It was so nice to wake up and see the water each morning. We settled into a routine of lounging for a bit, working out, breakfast and then heading to the beach or pool for a few hours. It was seriously the most relaxing time. Other than a day trip to Lanai (read more here), that was the extent of our adventures. Well, except for Jim’s swim out to and jump off of the black rock one afternoon. Luckily he snuck it in while I wasn’t with him or I would have been worried!

After our stay at the Sheraton Maui, we ventured to the Grand Wailea for 3 nights. I thought the Sheraton Maui was sprawling, but the Grand Wailea was massive and majestic and decked out for the holidays. The first night we headed to dinner at Monkeypod. It was so good that we returned again on our last night! I highly recommend it. Have the strawberry pie for dessert.

It was an incredible trip that we won’t soon forget. We even talked about making it an annual vacation!

Our family tradition is to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve Eve. I won’t be there tonight to celebrate with my parents and brother. Merry Christmas Mom, Dad and Zack!! I miss you guys!!
