I’m thrilled to let you all in on a secret…we’re expecting a baby boy in early April 2015! It’s been a hard secret to keep under wraps, but it was important to us to wait until we felt comfortable sharing it. Earlier this week we got to see the little guy at the ultrasound. It was a fun and emotional experience. And everything looks great so far, which is a huge relief! Our approach has been to take one day at a time and give ourselves a little high five when we meet each weekly milestone.

Read on for additional photos and a little Q&A after the photos!

Q: Who is your baby daddy?
A: My long-time boyfriend, Jim. Also referred to around here as luv, boyfriend and domestic partner.

Q: Are you planning on getting married?
A: Never say never, but at this point we don’t have any plans to get married. We’re beyond happy with our relationship and life as it is.

Q: How far along are you?
A: I am around 18 weeks (these photos were taken almost 3 weeks ago).

Q: Not to be rude, but you seem to have quite the belly already. Are you sure there’s only one in there?
A: Yes, we are absolutely sure it’s just one little guy! I do have a uterine fibroid, which is a non-cancerous tumor/growth. It has grown quite a bit since I got pregnant and measured 16cm x 14 cm earlier this week. That is roughly the size of a cantaloupe. I will share more on it soon as I’ve struggled to find information about pregnancy with a large fibroid and would love to share my story with anyone else going through a similar situation.

Q: How will your pregnancy affect Luv in the Bubble?
A: Luv in the Bubble is a fashion and lifestyle blog and will continue to be. I do plan to share my pregnancy since it’s such a big part of my life right now. The focus will remain on fashion and other fun.

Q: Will your outfit posts be all maternity for the next several months?
A: I’m still figuring out what style/options exist for my growing bump. I am planning on mixing maternity and non-maternity styles and will be sure to share non-maternity options whenever possible.

Q: How do you feel?
A: The first trimester I felt exhausted and suffered from nausea. I am grateful I didn’t have a bad case of morning sickness and never threw up. The second trimester really is much easier. My energy is back, although I still sneak in a nap most days. My lower back bothers me some days and my belly is stretching. All in all, I feel good.

Q: Are you excited?
A: Yes, absolutely! Earlier we were cautiously excited. While we know there are still things that can go wrong, we are growing more excited each day and envisioning our life with a little one. It’s scary to imagine such a big change to our daily lives, but we’re eager to see what the next stage of life brings!
