Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale Top 15

Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale

As promised, here are my top picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale! If you tried to shop online yesterday, how crazy were the issues they had?! I kept thinking about the panic that must have spread through their headquarters when the site was down for hours on one of their biggest shopping days of the year. Luckily it all seems to be fixed and there’s lots of great stuff to shop. After combing through hundreds of items, these are my top 15 (err, okay 16):

Jeans: my absolute favorites are these AG The Legging Skinny and 7 for all Mankind Ankle Skinny jeans in grey. I have several pairs of AG jeans that I love and am super excited about the light grey shade of the others. Since I’m pretty short, ankle lengths tend to fit me better without alterations.

Skirts & Dresses: I love a pleated midi skirt and had been looking for one to add to my closet. This BP Pleated Midi Skirt is in the always flattering color black. I’ll wear it with a tank or tee now and sweater and boots come fall. I didn’t find many dresses that I liked, but I’m going to give the Chelsea28 Shoulder Ruffle Shift Dress a shot for a wedding next month.

Shoes: Yes, they are insanely expensive even on sale. But, the Stuart Weitzman Over the Knee Boots are worth it. If you don’t believe me, order them and try for yourself. Hurry though because sizes are going quick! I have a version of the Nike Free Focus Flyknit that I wear all the time. They’re a great basic to have for working out or pretending to work out. These Charles by Charles David Pointy Toe Pumps look the exact same as an earlier version I own. I don’t wear them often, but when I do the nude makes my legs look much longer than they actually are (I usually size up a half size in pointy toe shoes)!

Tops: This WAYF lace top reminds me of one I missed out on last year and is a great wear now, wear later piece. The cupcakes and cashmere bell sleeve top is a little outside my norm. I own three other cupcakes and cashmere pieces that I felt the same when I bought and they’ve become some of my most worn items. This Lush bell sleeve tee (I’m sensing a theme) is only $23! I have a long cardigan that I wear year round. When I saw this Halogen Long Ribbed Cardigan, I decided to add another to my collection. I grabbed it in heather “cloud” and it also comes in grey and black (and in petites too!). The off the shoulder trend isn’t going anywhere.

Lingerie & Lounge: The Natori Feathers bra is hands down my go to bra. It’s actually the only one I own (other than nursing bras). Same with these Hanky Panky thongs. They come in a ton of colors. I use the sale to stock up on both of them! This Alo Crop Hoodie looks crazy comfortable. Do you think if I wear it my kids will be happy?!

Best of the Rest: Patagonia is one of my very favorite brands with a mission. Their products are well made and meant to last. I have the vest version of the Patagonia Nano Puff Hooded Jacket and love it. I definitely don’t need a coat, but if I did this Vince Camuto Belted Down Coat is the one I’d get.

And now I need to get to bed. Kids and mens picks will be here on Monday. Have a great weekend!
