Salut! I’m a sucker for a good graphic tee. This J Crew graphic tee is one of my absolute favorites. I’m drawn to French sayings and the shade of blue sold me. We’ve been purging as we get ready to move. My graphic tee collection outnumbers my solid and striped tees combined!
In other exciting news, the Nordstrom Anniversary Pre-Sale starts tomorrow! You have to be a cardholder to shop the pre-sale or wait until July 21st when it opens to the public (or make friends with a cardholder!).
What’s the big deal about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale? Unlike most sales that mark down items after the season has ended, this sale is all the fall clothes you’ll want in another month or two before the season begins.
It can be hard to buy sweaters and coats right now, especially if you live in a warm climate like Arizona and you won’t actually wear them for 4-5 months. They also have a ton of items for women, men, kids, beauty, home. It can get overwhelming and out of control quickly. Here are 3 tips to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale:
TIPS TO SHOP THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
MAKE A LIST
Go through your closet and make a list of items you want or need to replace. By making a list you’ll be less likely to get caught up in the sale frenzy and end up with items you don’t need.
STICK TO THE BASICS
I actually love to use the sale to stock up on basics. My favorite bra, a couple pairs of the only underwear I own and some new denim. I’ll usually add a top, dress or skirt and shoes to the mix. This year I’m going to pay close attention to workout attire. I really want to get back into a workout routine and new clothes always serve as a good motivator. Before Lawson and Sybil were born, I never paid attention to the kids sale, but I definitely do now!
SHOP, THEN RETURN
While I don’t buy into the hype that you have to wake up at midnight or be the first one in the store to get those items you want before they sell out, I do load up my online cart. With free shipping and returns, it’s easy to order different sizes or an item that wasn’t on your list and return it if it doesn’t work out.
Talk of the sale can seem to go on forever. Almost every blogger covers it so I’m going to try to keep it short and sweet. I plan to post my favorite items for men, women (clothing, shoes and accessories) and kids. I’ll also have a dedicated page for my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks, which you’ll be able to find here once the sale is live on Thursday.
