I could start by saying it’s December 1st and how did that happen, but I’m going to gloss right over the fact we have a month left in 2018. Really, how did that happen?
First off, I need to apologize for leading you astray with these pajamas last week. I didn’t realize it was a onesie! I got mine this week and it was not flattering! If you have a flat stomach, they will be super cute. Unfortunately that’s not me. Instead, this flannel set is currently on its way to me (+4 of my favorite girlfriends, we’re wearing matching pajamas for girl’s night!)
How was your Thanksgiving weekend? We had a pretty great one. Our meal came together nicely, we drove to find snow on Saturday and were rewarded with freshly falling snowflakes, and welcomed a brand new niece to the family. Lawson and Sybil are pretty obsessed. We have to FaceTime every other day to check on the baby!
I’ve been in a bit of a funk this week. We’ve spent a lot of time at home, which is never great for my mood, and I haven’t been very productive. I started to feel anxious thinking about all the stuff I should be doing so I snuck out to the library and made some lists. I love a good list almost as much as I love crossing it off.
Have you read The Alice Network? It was recommended to me on Instagram because I enjoy WWII novels. Warning, it is long at 400+ pages. It flips back and forth between WWI and WWII, which was really interesting.
This afternoon I spent time brainstorming holiday activities to do with Lawson and Sybil. We made these Santa hand ornaments two years ago and they’re on my list again. We’re going to get our tree next week and I want to make my grandmother’s frosted sugar cookies. Lots of things as we shift into December!
HIGH POINT:
Last Sunday I ran 8.67 miles, my second longest run of the year. I am struggling with my pace (it’s sooo slow), but I’m proud of my legs for carrying me almost 9 miles!
LOW POINT:
The overall blah feeling I’ve had this week is my low point. Hoping to snap out of it this week.
FIND OF THE WEEK:
I’ve long been intrigued by the fair isle sweater for the holidays. They can be expensive, but I don’t want to invest in something I’m not sure I’ll wear that often. When I came across this J. Crew Factory version on sale for less than $40, I immediately saved it.
