Derby Style

Derby Style

The first weekend of May is full of events…Kentucky Derby, Mother’s Day. While I’ve never been to the actual Derby, I do love an excuse to get dressed up! It’s supposed to be one of those sporting events you should do once in your lifetime. My mom and brother have both been and I’m sure they would agree!

It wasn’t intentional, but clearly I gravitate towards blue and a host of neutrals (blush, white) while throwing in a pop of color every once in awhile (red, mint). What can I say, a girl likes what a girl likes! (The dress from this post would also work for a derby party or mother’s day brunch.) Whether the party leans toward the dressy side or veers a little more casual, throw on a great hat, radiate confidence and you’ll fit right in.

  1. Can Yumi Kim do any wrong? I’m not always a florals girl but her designs are amazing! Also, those Soludos sandals are everything. Great roundup! :)
