My Everyday Jewelry

madewell distressed jeans, maya brenner initial necklace

My Everyday Jewelry

Necklaces:

Maya Brenner Initial: Jim gifted me this initial necklace when Sybil was born (a “push present” if you will). It’s one of my most treasured possessions. I’ve worn it all but a handful of days since I got it almost 6 years ago.

Bexley by Sheena Marshall: I love the look of layered necklaces, but hadn’t been able to make it work with my initial necklace because everything I tried kept getting tangled. Sheena is a Denver based jewelry designer.  When I found her via Instagram, I knew I wanted to give another necklace a try. I absolutely love the Bexley paired with my initial necklace and wear it most days. It adds another textural element to an outfit. The Bexley is no longer available, but the Amelia with a 20” chain is very similar.

On my wish list: the Heart of Gold by Hart Hagerty to create a stack of necklaces.

Earrings:

Diamond studs: To celebrate a work milestone and my 30th birthday, I bought a pair of diamond studs. Mine are set in white gold and are 2 carat total weight. They remain one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

Essential Hoop by Sheena Marshall: Sheena gifted me these earrings when I bought the Bexley necklace (thank you Sheena!). I love them. They are a great hoop option that I am so happy to have in my jewelry box.

Amber & Stone Neon Blossom: I bought these colorful earrings to wear to my brothers rehearsal dinner. They are handmade and very lightweight. They add such a fun pop of color to my mostly neutral wardrobe. I really like the blue and white pair too.

Bracelets:

I invested in my David Yurman bracelets for a couple of birthdays and career events in my mid-30s. While I’ve seen several for sale on poshmark and they may no longer be “in style”, I consider them classic pieces that I’ll have and wear forever.

David Yurman Princess: one of the original styles that made David Yurman famous, I have the bracelet in the Hematine gemstone.

David Yurman: I believe the bangle bracelet is no longer sold. It’s a great piece to layer and create more of a stack. The Sculpted bracelet is similar.

David Yurman Buckle: A perfect everyday bracelet worn alone or with others.

Names for Good: With green beads and Lawson’s initials, I bought matching bracelets for Lawson and me before school started last fall. I wear mine every day, but Lawson saves his for special occasions or when I’m away at bedtime and he wants to feel closer to me.

Hart Hagerty rainbow hearts: Sybil chose this rainbow heart  for our matching bracelets.

Ring:

David Yurman crossover: This is the last more expensive piece of jewelry I bought myself before I had kids. While I don’t wear a ring often, I like that this one is versatile. Since Jim and I aren’t married, it occasionally subs as a wedding/engagement ring.
