What I Bought in May

J Crew Linen Shirt

What I bought in May

Monogrammed Notepad: After running out of pages in my last notepad, I ordered this monogrammed version. It’s a happy spot on my desk. (I did the sky color with cherry background.)

Personalized Notecards: These notecards are a repeat purchase. I go through a surprising amount of notecards and love these as a reasonably priced option. This time I chose lavender for both the font and envelope.

J Crew Linen Shirt: I tried this shirt on in the store with a friend. For weeks I kept thinking about it and finally ordered it when the French blue came back in stock in my size. It might be the only item I’ve ever paid full price for at J. Crew!

Cleobella shirt: Sybil and I were walking through a nearby city the Friday before Mother’s Day. We found ourselves in a little boutique where I bought this shirt. Might be tied with the linen shirt above for my favorite purchase of the summer. It’s very lightweight and the pink is more vibrant in real life (the stock photo is pretty terrible).

Bombas socks: Jim needed to replenish his golf socks for this season. I added a pair of their running socks to the order.

Babiators: Lawson outgrew his last pair of sunglasses. He chose to stick with the purple.

Haldi: I’ve been using Haldi to recommend skincare products since last year. I’ve really liked every product that I’ve tried. For this order, I asked for a morning and night cleanser (I’m almost out of both) and a lighter moisturizer for summer. I highly recommend doing the skin analysis – Haldi will work with your budget and the products you’re already using.

Sunscreen Stick: We’ve been loyal users of the Beautycounter sunscreen the past few years, but I wanted to try something different. I like the Babo Botanicals, especially for ease of purchase. It does leave more of a white residue than Beautycounter, but I’d still order it again.

Dudley Stephens fleece: The only MDW sale I’ve shopped so far is 40% off at Dudley Stephens with code DUDLEYVIP (you do have to sign up for their emails, but I was already subscribed). Lawson and Sybil wear their fleece weekly in the fall and winter. They’ll both move up a size next fall so I restocked the toddler crewneck for Sybil (neon pink, mint, and lavender) and the Hendrie hoodie and Windabout pullover for Lawson.

The Secret Explorers and the Ice Age Adventure: We are big fans of this chapter book series. The most recent release came out in early May. I am giving it to Lawson for his first day of summer gift package.

Everything Soap: Needed to restock the kitchen and bathroom soap we use. We’ve used this soap for a couple of years. I prefer to refill the dispensers we have, rather than buy new containers every few months.

Strato Tech Polo: Ordered Jim a couple of new items to try from Vuori, including a polo in the same material as the tee shirts he loves.

Vuori Boardshort: A new pair of swim shorts for Jim for the summer season.

Patio Chair: We were looking to spruce up our front entry area with a chair and small side table. Jim found this chair and it’s been a great addition to the space.

Target pots: Along with the patio chair, I picked up some new flower/plant pots at Target for our front area, including this one and this garden stool for our back deck.
